  What if God IS a farce?

  that would really rock my world as i know it.

  after i initially left the jws' i did question the whole "is there a god"" especially when you look around and see all the atrocities - the sick sick things happening in your own back yard.then i put it out of my mind and carried on believing in a god.. right now i choose to believe in a god, whether that god be jesus, jehovah, buddha, allah, shiva, it doesn't matter - i'm happy with the idea that there is a spiritual & powerful someone running things.however lately i've been questioning again - so many posters on here that are atheists really make good arguments & i can't reason my way out of it.. why does god keep so quiet?

  then that guy did not understand the concept of "chance". if you calculate how many times you'd have to play the lottery to win it, you'd probably come up with several million times. still, some people win it at the first try.

  there's no proof that jesus ever was born at all. this is like arguing over frodo baggin's birthday. no wait, that one's birthday is actually recorded - without calculating back and forth.

  Pentecostals convert 20% of population in Guatemala. How do they preach?

  the christian science monitor reported today that 20% of the population in guatemala is converting to pentecostalism.

  with a population near 13,000,000,that would mean a membership of 2.6 million people.. how do pentecostals convert so many people?

  what are their preaching methods?.

  how can I, as imperfect as anyone who has ever existed, help these to "see" and "hear"? Of course, I cannot, because it doesn't require something from me... but something from you (those who doubt).
  
  no, this requires something from the deity you're talking bout. "He", as you call it, should have all the means to show us it exists.

  in my eyes everything that needs exegesis is not written with the goal to be understood. and you act like "scripture interpretation" of the past 2000 years would have been something homogenous... awake!

  is there any reason why you'd take that verse literally? btw, no talk about the bible canon as we know it in that verse. it talks about all god inspired scripture - which is like.. the quran, mormon, watchtower... you name it.
